Description

This limited-edition watch commemorates Seiko's 110 years of wristwatchmaking experience and is inspired by Japan's and Seiko's first wristwatch. The ivory color of this dial transports the wearer to the Izumiyama Pottery Stone Field in Arita, a small town in Saga Prefecture that has been closely associated with Japanese porcelain for over 400 years. Master craftsman Hiroyuki Hashiguchi and his team craft the dials using a multi-step process requiring great skill and, after multiple firings in a scorching kiln, create an exquisite result that retains rich color, texture, and depth for years. The calfskin strap is sourced from LWG-certified tanners in Japan. The Leather Working Group (LWG) is a non-profit organization dedicated to sustainable and responsible leather production. Only 1,500 pieces are available worldwide.
