This series has a dynamic presence thanks to the dimensional case and finely finished faceted bezel at the top, which contrasts with the mirror-polished sides. The lines of the case flow seamlessly through the lugs to an integrated bracelet with a sharp design that blends with the angular case to give the watches a refined appearance. The titanium case and bracelet have a super-hard, scratch-resistant coating. The watch features a cleanly designed dial with a single subdial at 8 o'clock that indicates the GPS satellite signal reception process, as well as the watch's charging status, leap second data reception, and flight mode. The blue, gray, and black dials feature a pattern evoking the quartz crystals used to create the tuning fork-shaped quartz oscillators of the original Quartz Astron introduced by Seiko in 1969.
